OK so I am back into the blogging world. I figured I was bored so I may as well update this. So, as the summer continues I find myself getting more and more bored as there seems to be less and less to do. However on the plus side my girlfriend came down to stay for a few days and that was exciting.
On Monday, we went into town and watched the epic finale to the Toy Story Trilogy and by God it was awesome. The second one had always been a bit of a disappointment to me but this last one was absolutely phenomenal. The end was also quite sad when Andy was handing over all of his old toys to the young girl describing what each toy was like. I found that to be quite a touching ending, and one fitting of such a popular movie. On the Tuesday, as we didn't particularly have much money, we stayed in and decided to bake. Once again we made some amazing cheesy nachos, and after that started to make some cookie-men (cookies shaped like men) which more turned out to look like 'Michelin' men which was rather comical. She left on the Wednesday and thus began my descent into boredom. I wish there was more I could talk about but really it would involve my 'drunkenness' or me playing call of duty.
In regards to my application, I hope to be beginning my HCA job rather soon, seeing as my manager had finally decided to submit his reference some weeks after receiving the e-mail to do so but c'est la vie, life goes on. Next week I am in London shadowing a consultant cardiologist which I am really looking forward to, and shall also give me plenty to blog about as I reflect on my experiences. After that I am off to Newquay with the 'lads' on a drunken holiday which should be awesome. However, once that is over it is sort of the end of the summer as I begin to prepare fully for my next medicine application i.e. sitting the UKCAT, writing my personal statement, and the long wait for the results which could burst my dream of becoming a doctor there and then.
But hey, I look forward to blogging next week, hopefully everyday, recording my experiences of shadowing this doctor.
Either way, thanks for reading if you made it this far, and have an awesome frickin' day dude!
